One of the first Self-Advocacy Groups in the UK led by Aspies, with information and advice for those on the spectrum in the North West of England - with the ultimate aim of expanding the inclusion of people with Autism and Asperger's in the discussions of local services and policies. A very interesting blog site by Cardiff-based Aspie Chris Williams and well worth a read with his various observations, testimonials and insights. I also like that he is point blank honest about the of often difficult situations trying to deal with misunderstanding.
Donna Williams has had so many acolades and self-sucess stories to her name. A multi-talented Aspie, with an expertise in debating about various issues, presenter of the internet radio download "oddpod", singer in her band "Donna and the Aspinaughts" and many more hobbys and projects to say but a few. A must for anyone researching what really happens in the unique world of an Aspie.
Known the world over and an accumplished Aspie: Dr Temple Grandin is by far one of the most inspiring speakers on Asperger's and Autism - She had described David Malins as one of the few Aspies that has 'got it together' to do good in a very tough post-modern world - David Malins equally describes her as "Brilliantly 'larger than life' and 'to the point' as Colarado's Pionner Aspie" - Hence here is her site - Enjoy
